Multichoice Zambia has for the second time partnered with the National Association of Media Arts (NAMA) and the National Arts Council of Zambia in hosting the Zambia Film and Television Awards(ZAFTA).
The Six Hundred Kwacha ZAFTAs will take place at the Mulungushi International conference Centre on the 3rd of November, 2018.
Individuals who have stood out in various categories will be honored on the night of the award while nominees will be announced soon after which the consumers of the local content will be given an opportunity vote for their favorite production.
And speaking at the Launch of the ZAFTAs 2018, Multichoice Zambia Public relations manager Mwika Malindima says his organization is confident that the sponsorship will help in motivating the arts fraternity.
Mr. Malindima says Multichoice is also hopeful that the 2018 ZAFTAs will take the industry to higher levels and continue to expose the great potential that exist in the arts industry.
Meanwhile Film Maker , Owas Ray Mwape says the future of the Zambian Film Industry remains bright especially with the right cohesion and collaboration among themselves.
Mr. Mwape says the support that the film industry is receiving is very encouraging.
And NAMA President Lottie Siame has called upon the business community to emulate Multichoice and support the film industry as it has the potential to be a source of employment for the country.
