A political analyst Alex N’goma has urged the United Party for National Development (UPND) to conduct political environmental analysis so as to assess its countrywide popularity.

Dr. N’goma is worried that the largest opposition political party in Zambia is losing its party members evidenced by recent defections to the Patriotic Front (PF).

Dr. N’goma has told Q-news in an interview in Lusaka that reported defections were an  indication that UPND is slowly losing ground thus his advice for its leader Hakainde Hichilema to urgently conduct a political analysis so as to weigh the UPNDs popularity in Central, Copperbelt, Eastern, Luapula, Lusaka, Muchinga, Northern, North-western, Southern and Western Provinces.

Dr. N’goma says when a lot of people are ditching a party; such a development meant that such membership had lost confidence in leadership.
