UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema

United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema says his party is ready for unconditional dialogue on a number of important issues that the country.

Mr Hichilema says this is essential in order to return the country back to normalcy.

He says among the issues the UPND believes need to be addressed include the restoration in the rule of law, respect of fundamental human rights, liberties and freedoms.

Mr Hichilema says other issues are the amendment of the Public Order Act, Electoral reforms and ending political, electoral and other forms of violence in the communities.

He notes that the country has been hurting for too long and that citizens are looking forward to politicians to sort out these and other issues for the greater good of everyone.

The UPND leader adds that the UPND agrees to have the process of dialogue led by the three church mother bodies, namely the Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ), the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) and Evangelical fellowship of Zambia (EFZ).
