A total of 3, 698 savings groups have been established- World Vision

A total of 3, 698 savings groups have been established in 9 provinces where World Vision Zambia is operating with over 60, 000 savers consisting of women and men participating.

World Vision Zambia National Director, John Hasse says the value of savings now stands at over K21 million as at the end of June 2018.

Speaking during a World Vision Zambia Community Agents Summit, dubbed:”savings for transformation groups”, Mr. Hasse has reaffirmed his organisation’s commitment to supplementing government’s efforts in ending poverty in all the communities.

Mr. Hasse says Savings Groups are key to contribute to the Seventh National Development Plan on Financial Inclusion and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

And Mr. Hasse is confident that the two days summit will enhance peer to peer learning among savings for Transformation community agents as a way of generating emerging best practices.
