600, 000 people have been captured on the social cash transfer program

Community Development Minister Emerine Kabanshi says there are currently over 600,000 people on the social cash transfer program across Zambia.

Ms Kabanshi told Q news that government is committed to ensuring that more vulnerable people are put on the program.

She says officers in her ministry are currently on the ground across the country identifying more people who can be put on the program.

She is optimistic that government will attain its target of having more than 700,000 people on the program by the end of the year.
