One died in Chirundu- Siavonga road accident

One person died on the spot on Saturday when a Siavonga bound mini bus was involved in an accident along the Chirundu- Siavonga road.

The accident is said to have happened around 15:30hrs.

Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has confirmed that those injured were being treated at Mtendere Mission Hospital in Chirundu District.

And Mr. Kanyama has disclosed that there was another accident yesterday involving a truck belonging to National Milling and a tractor belonging to Zambezi natural stones.

Mr. Kanyama says the accident happened around 06:00hrs in Siavonga District.

He states that both drivers of the truck and the tractor sustained injuries and were rushed to Siavonga District Hospital for medical attention.

Mr. Kanyama has since advised motorists using the Chirundu-Siavonga road to be mindful of the curves on this road.

He is urging motorists to observe road signs when using the road and avoiding over speeding.
