Political historian Bizeck Jube Phiri has observed that Zambia cannot anymore be separated among ethnical groupings 50 plus years after independence.
Professor Phiri has taken note that Zambians have very much transformed in these past years for such a division to ever emerge.
In an interview with QTV News Professor Phiri, who is a University lecturer, notes that this is given the intermarriages that have taken place among various ethnic groups.
Professor Saasa states that when one is talking about Zambians, he cannot therefore refer to any of them as belonging to one particular ethnic group.
He is of the view that this is the reality of the day that no Zambia now belongs to one particular ethnic group.
