Deportation of Biti has dented Zambia’s image – Mambo

Civil Society Constitution Agenda (CiSCA) Board Chairperson, Bishop John Mambo says the recent deportation of Zimbabwean opposition leader Tendai Biti has dented the country’s image as a Christian nation.

Bishop Mambo says the sending back of Mr Biti who was seeking asylum is an embarrassment to the country.

He says Zambia as a Christian nation should have hosted Mr. Biti like any other politician from another country.

Bishop Mambo has since urged government apologize to the people of Zimbabwe.
