The Movement for National Transformation (MNT) has challenged President Edgar Lungu to apologies to the people of Zimbabwe in the manner he handled the Zimbabwean opposition politician Tendai Biti’s situation.

And MNT President Daniel Shimunza says government should not be selective in allowing asylum seekers into the country as this is denting the country’s image.

Mr. Shimunza has told q-news in an interview that it is against diplomatic protocol and international law to send away an asylum seeker.

He says whatever the issues that Zimbabwe has; Zambia is not supposed to interfere with the internal affairs of other countries.

Mr. Shimunza has however urged the government to adhere to the foreign policy and protect people especially politicians seeking asylum in the country.
