LWSC raises $800M for Lusaka water 2035 master plan

Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Managing Director Jonathan Kampata says the utility needs US$ 2.4 billion to fully implement the Lusaka Water and Sanitation 2035 Master plan.

Director Jonathan Kampata says his company has so far only managed to raise US$ 800 million.

Engineer Kampata has told Q News that once the water and sanitation master plan is implemented it will help bridge the gap of water and sanitation services in the Lusaka city.

And Company Public Relations Manager Patson Phiri has disclosed that the US$ 150 million Kafue bulk project has reached 90 percent completion.

Mr. Phiri says the project is expected to help increase the supply of water to the Lusaka.
