The Zambia Police in Kazungula District of Southern Province has charged and arrested Masilingi Mashekabo aged 36 in connection with the murder of his wife.
Southern province police Commissioner Bonny Kapeso says Mr. Mashekabo of Mambova village in chief sekute’s area, killed his wife aged 62 by beating her using a paddling stick after a marital dispute.
Mr. Kapeso says the deceased has been identified as Sarah Samapande of the same address
The couple is said to have been married for two years with no children between them.
The incident occurred around 01:30 hrs on Monday.
Mr. Kapeso says the Suspect will appear in court soon.
