Civil Aviation Authority to extend its operations- Lesa

Gabriel LesaThe Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) says it is contemplating on decentralizing its operations from Lusaka to the rest of Zambia.

CAA Director General Gabriel Lesa has disclosed that the authority is thinking of establishing satellite offices in busy air traffic areas in the country.

Mr. Lesa has referred to the Copperbelt Province and Livingstone in southern province as the busy areas the CAA has in mind.

In an interview with QTV news this plan is however futuristic.

Mr. Lesa states that currently what is being done is building capacity and capabilities of the CAA.

He says expansion of the CAA operations will depend mainly on the growth of the aviation sector in Zambia.
