MMD still commands a huge following – boasts Nakachinda

The opposition MMD Felix led faction says it still commands a strong following in Zambia despite its decision not to take part in any by-election that takes place before 2021.

MMD National Secretary Raphael Nakachinda says his party is well structured and has an effective communication system.

Mr. Nakachinda has disclosed that from the recent visits made in 7 provinces of Country so far, he has attested that all party structures are still intact 2 years since the last general elections.

He has told QTV News that this is a sign that the party’s mobilization programme is being undertaken beyond expectations and that MMD will emerge as surprise package

Mr. Nakachinda says with such mobilization the former ruling party will be going into the 2021 general elections with a focused manner with aim of giving the Zambian people an alternative.

He has maintained that the decision not take part in any by-election that arise between now and then is strategic and meant to give way to reorganization of the MMD.

Mr. Nakachinda states that party cannot spend time and resources in participating in an election now at the expense of the concluding the process of reorganizing itself.
