Lusaka Specialized Hospital to be completed before due date

The Contractor China National Complete Engineering Corporation has brought forward the completion date of construction of the Lusaka Specialized Hospital from 2020 to December 2019.

Meanwhile, Housing and Infrastructure Development minister Ronald Chitotela has directed the contractor to renew the contracts for Zambian workers which have expired but are still working.

Currently 30percent of works on the Hospital situated along Airport Road have been completed by the contractor who is said to be on scheduled.

Mr. Chitotela has disclosed that the Hospital once completed will offer specialised treatment services such as cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, nephrology, spinal services, transplants, rehabilitation services and help to boost health tourism.

Mr. Chitotela who visited the construction site this morning has also directed his directors in the Ministry to revise the contract plan and include the housing component for the staff at the Hospital.
