Steven Katuka – UPND Secretary General
UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka says the call by President Edgar Lungu for his party to restrain its members from engaging in violence is neither here nor there.
Mr Katuka says the UPND has been a peaceful party which does not engage in violence therefore does not need to restrain its members.
He says this explains why the party has never been heard attacking members of other political parties.
Mr. Katuka has told QTV News that the UPND holds the view that Zambia is bigger than any political party and therefore it shall not be part of any bloodshed being perpetuated by other parties.
Mr. Katuka however, states that this does not mean that UPND members will not defend themselves when attacked.
