MCA to spend over K380, 000 to replace construction materials in Mazyopa

The Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) has condemned the spate of vandalism that has recently taken place in Mazyopa in Mandevu constituency along the Bombay drainage system.

MCA Communications and Outreach DirectorDr. John Kunda has told QTV news that over K380,000 will be spent o replace construction materials in Mazyopa.

Mr Kunda says the high level of vandalism along the Bombay drainage system is a source of concern, and has called on the Police to arrest those vandalizing the infrastructure.

He says Millennium Challenge will continue to inculcate a sense of responsibility in the general public through a comprehensive awareness campaign that will help reinforce the message of taking care of the infrastructure.

Meanwhile Dr. Kunda is confident that the project will be completed in November 2018 as scheduled.

He says the implementation of the project which includes water supply, sanitation and drainage, now stands at 75 percent complete.
