Chingangu pleads not guilty to two counts of theft

ChinganguFormer national boxing heavyweight champion Joseph Chingangu has pleaded not guilty to two counts of theft from a motor vehicle and Assault Occasioning actual bodily harm in Lusaka magistrate court

In the first  count , Chingangu  on May 7th, 2018 in Lusaka district is alleged to have stolen two suitcases  containing clothes altogether valued at K1,440 , from a motor vehicle namely Toyota Noah registration number  ABX 8294, property  of Majory Mvula.

In the second count on the same date, Chingangu is accused of assaulting Ken Nkosa thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.

But when the matter came up for plea before Magistrate Felix Kauma, the boxer denied all the charges.

Commencement of trial has been set for 23rd May,2018.
