Church not ‘Partisan’ – CCZ

Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) General Secretary Reverend Emmanuel Chikoya has dispelled assertions that the church has become partisan.

Reverend Chikoya says to contrary, the church has been playing its role of uniting the nation.

In an interview with Q-News, Reverend Chikoya says both in public and behind the scenes, the church has remained consistent in uniting the nation.

He says the church continue engaging all political players on various issues affecting the nation in its effort to unite the nation.

He however, notes that though the church has so far been playing its role diligently, there is room for improvement.

Meanwhile Reverend Chikoya has avised politicians to desist from creating an atmosphere that makes the impending political dialogue difficult.
