ZRA completes customs Audit for mining companies

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) says it has concluded the customs audit of all major mining companies in the country.

ZRA Corporate Communications manager Topsy Sikalinda tells Q-News that results of the customs audit have since been communicated in writing to the mining companies.

Mr Sikalinda says some mining companies have since responded while others have asked for more time to respond.

He has explained that this is a normal audit process and that the authority is not targeting any particular company.

Mr Sikalinda says the authority will update the nation accordingly when the process with the mining industry is finalized.
