Saunders urges PF to respect courts of law

Senior Citizen Dante Saunders has expressed concern over the decision of the Constitutional Court to tolerate a third appeal in the matter of the 96 Ministers who remained in office after the dissolution of Parliament.

PF Secretary General Davies Mwila this week made an application to the Constitutional Court asking the court to set aside or reverse its ruling that Ministers who remained in office after Parliament was dissolved in 2016 should pay back the money they received.

But Mr. Saunders says this insistence by the ruling party not to respect the ruling of the court is worrying.

Mr. Saunders has told QTV News that the PF should prove and show the people of Zambia that they respect institutions of governance.

Meanwhile, Mr Saunders has advised the government to focus on articles that are not favourable to its continued stay in office as it embarks on the amendment of the constitution.
