The Lusaka Magistrates Court has issued a subpoena Duces Tecum in respect to the Deputy Director General in the immigration department.
The Deputy Immigration Chief is scheduled to appear before Magistrate Mwaka Mikalike at 14:00 hours today.
According to the notice, the court is demanding for an explanation from the immigration department on why they did not submit the passport belonging to NDC Consultant Chishimba kambwili in court yesterday.
The Deputy Immigration Chief is expected to testify before the court on the whereabouts of the passport of the accused (Mr. Kambwili) which has been deposed as being in the possession of the Department of the Immigration.
And NDC Spokesperson Eric Chanda has told QTV News via telephone that the party is at pain that Mr. Kambwili has met all the bail conditions apart from the passport that is with the immigration department.
