Kambwili Freed!

National Democratic Congress political Consultant Chishimba Kambwili who was detained by Police and Immigrations officers at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport upon arrival from South Africa has been freed.

NDC National Security Chairperson Menyani Zulu has told Q-news that Mr. Kambwili was detained for close to three hours at the Airport.

Mr. Zulu says the officers have advised Mr. Kambwili to report himself to Woodlands Police station in Lusaka tomorrow.

Mr Kambwili who is also Roan Member of Parliament was intercepted by state police and immigration officers as he arrived from South Africa where he had gone for medical checkups.

Mr Kambwili was last week summoned for questioning at Woodlands Police Station in Lusaka but could not show up as he was believed to be unwell.
