The reopening of Kwame Nkrumah University in Kabwe has been moved from April to August 2018.

This is in order to allow for the recruitment of more lecturers and to sort out all the audit queries which the institution is currently undertaking.

Kwame Nkrumah University Vice Chancellor Hellicy Ngambi, who is also Mulungushi University Vice Chancellor, announced this today during the Monday briefing with the management at the institution.

Professor Ngambi says the response from the public who have applied for jobs as lecturers at the university has not been overwhelming thus the delayed reopening of the institution.

She says the fired lecturers who reapplied will be scrutinized thoroughly and those who seem to be troublemakers will not be readmitted.

She adds that the institution is facing some audit queries which has also contributed to the delay in reopening.

Professor Ngambi states that all April examinations will now be written in August this year.
