Chipenzi advocates for abolishment of Death Penalty

Governance, Elections, Advocacy, and Research Services (GEARS) Initiative Zambia Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi says death penalty should be abolished in Zambia forthwith.

Mr. Chipenzi has told QTV News that this is because Zambia is a Christian nation and that it must not allow taking of someone’s life.

He says all progressive democracies have abolished death penalty and that Zambia should follow suit.

Mr. Chipenzi says as the country refines the republican constitution, it is important that this aspect is looked at strictly.
