The transparency international Zambia (TIZ) has backed government’s decision to capacitate government printers to be able to print ballot papers locally.

TIZ Executive Director Wesley Chibamba says this initiative will save government’s time and money.

Mr. Chibamba has however states that this should be met with high security and quality levels.

He says Zambians should desist from the notion that ballot papers should always be printed abroad.

Mr. Chibamba says other countries print their ballots locally, a move that Zambia should embrace.

Mr. Chibamba says the move provides for the monitoring of the entire process and provides   stakeholders with an opportunity   to   ensure that all procedures are being followed.
