Energy Expert Chiko Mudenda says the country has the potential in other sources of energy as opposed to relying on hydro power.
Mr. Mudenda tells QTV News that the recent policy decision by government to remove energy subsidies has seen more investors interested investing in the energy sector come out.
He says the nation has not yet seen massive investments in the energy sector simply because the decision to remove subsidies was made recently.
Mr Mudenda assumes that potential investors are still making plans of investing in Zambia’s energy sector.
He states that despite the nation being hydro-power dependent; it is gratifying to see the energy sector opening up with investments in other sources of energy such as solar, thermal, biomass among others.
