Treasury releases K802.7m for February salaries

The Treasury has released K802.7 million for public service workers salaries for the month of February 2018.

Ministry of Finance Public Relations Officer Chileshe Kandenta says this is consistent with the guideline by Finance Minister Margret Mwanakatwe to formulate a plan to ensure that workers’ salaries are timely paid.

Mr Kandeta says the funds have since been transmitted to various commercial banks for allotmenht in workers accounts.

He adds that some public service workers started receiving the salaries yesterday.
