The opposition Green Party has hinted plans to host a Convention of all political leaders of political parties on the Peace and Unity Convention to be held in Lusaka on 31st March, 2018.
Party President Peter Sinkamba says the convention that is Themed: “Not a Single Drop of Blood of a Zambian is Worth Dripping for Political Ends” have reached an advanced stage.
Mr. Sinkamba says it is disheartening that the country has been consumed by petty political differences.
He believes that the blood that continues to be spilled for political ends must dry up stating that not a single drop is worth dripping for political ends.
Mr. Sinkamba says the aim is to bring together leaders of political parties and the Church to confront head-on problems that have besieged our Great Nation so that we find means and ways of resolving the triggers.
He explains that time has come to overcome the triggers so that they live in peace and unity despite our political adversity.
Mr. Sinkamba has observed the need to be united on peace, security of the Nation, and economic prosperity so as to restore the independence legacy, which is anchored on unity, self-reliance and the sovereignty of our land.
