PAC guides on printing of ballot papers

Peoples Alliance for Change President Andyford Banda says there is need for all stakeholders to agree on whether to print the ballot papers locally or abroad to avoid electoral conflicts in 2021.

Mr. Banda is of the view that minus stakeholders agreeing, this will bring another electoral confusion as some may suspect that this is a gimmick of wanting to manipulate votes.

Mr. Banda says ballot papers can be printing anywhere in the world but the only problem should be taken into account of all the concerns coming from stakeholders.

He says the government should ensure that they take into consideration the demands of all the stakeholders to avoid another post election conflicts.

And Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia President Suzyo Zimba says there is need for all stakeholders to reach a consensus on how this will be done.

Mr. Zimba says this is an important thing that needs a wider consultation to avoid confusion in the electoral cycle.
