Lunte Member of Parliament Mutotwe Kafwaya says the opposition UPND is wasting its resourceful time and energy to plan to move a motion in parliament to impeach President Edgar Lungu.

Yesterday UPND President Hakainde Hichilema instructed all UPND Members of Parliament to commence the impeachment process of President Lungu.

But the Lunte lawmaker says President Lungu has not done any impeachable offense for the UPND to consider impeaching him.

Mr. Kafwaya tells QTV News that the opposition should not relate the happenings in Zimbabwe and South Africa to Zambia because the decision to rise against the Heads of State in the two countries was made by party officials.

He says no single PF MP want to impeach the Head of State because he has done a lot in transforming the country.

Mr. Kafwaya states that instead of focusing on progressive things, the UPND are busy wasting their time in trying to impeach the president even when they know that it cannot work in the Zambian parliament.

He wonders why the opposition UPND is in a hurry to be in government saying they want to use the back door just to be in office.
