The Party of National Unity (PNU) says President Edgar Lungu’s use of the Bemba idiom ‘Ubomba Mwibala Alya Mwibala’ gives legitimacy to corruption in government.
President Lungu is reported to have said this at a PF fundraising dinner dance for the construction of the patriotic front (pf) convention centre in ndola.
PNU national secretary kasote singogo has challenged the head of state to give a clear explanation of what he meant saying people who understand the idiom have taken it that he he’s encouraging theft in government.
Mr. singogo tells q-news that it is unfortunate that such remarks could come from the head of state.
