Charles Chanda in Luanshya
United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) President Charles Chanda has observed the need to empower more women in the country as they play a pivotal role in ending poverty.
The UPPZ said this in Luanshya District when he bought three hundred and thirty 25kg bags of mealie meal to women worthy K16, 000, five bales of salaula clothes, among other items.
Mr. Chanda has also assured the over 700 Luanshya women that he will give them business startup capital so that they venture in entrepreneurship.
He says it is unfortunate that the people the women voted into office have neglected them and would only remember them during elections.
