ZCSD urges parliamentarians not to pass Bills motivated by political agendas

The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) has urged parliamentarians not to pass Bills motivated by political agendas as parliament resumes sitting this month.

ZCSD Executive Director Lewis Mwape tells Q-News that Members of Parliament should understand that they are not in parliament to boost their political ego, but represent those who voted for them.

He states that parliament should be devoid of political alignment if it is to effectively carry out its mandate.

And Mr. Mwape has advised Patriotic Front (PF) Members of Parliament to come up with bills that will enhance respect for the rule of law if they are to leave a legacy.
