Cholera outbreak delays national dialogue

Boniface CheembeSouthern African Centre for Constructive Resolution and Disputes (SACCORD) Executive Director Boniface Cheembe says the national dialogue has delayed to take off because of the Cholera outbreak.

Mr. Cheembe says his organization has taken note of complaints coming from various stakeholders saying the process will soon resume when all is well.

He says the process was suppose to start last month but was moved to a later date following the decision by government to stop gatherings due to cholera outbreak.

The SACCORD Executive Director has further asked the Zambian people to support the process saying it is a process that will be owned by them and that this is the only solution to the political differences in the country.

He has encouraged the Zambian people to continue supporting and appreciate the final outcome that it will bring about.

He tells QFM News that Zambian people should put in mind a bigger picture of having national peace architecture
