FRA urged to ensure all maize storage facilities are improved

The Food Reserve Agency (FRA) has been called upon to ensure that all maize storage facilities across the country are improved so that no maize will be wasted.

UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction and Development Moono Mapani tells QTV News that this is because the nation will not harvest enough maize during this farming season due to the dry spells and chaotic implementation of the e-voucher system.

Mr. Mapani says it is important that the little maize that the nation has in the storage is kept well so that it is not wasted.

He says it is imperative that the government works on the deplorable FRA depots to safeguard the maize.
