Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has challenged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to tell the nation why it’s not registering voters.

YALI Governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza tells QTV News that the ECZ must start taking its work seriously in preparation for the 2021 elections.

Mr. Mwanza has wondered what the commission is doing to mobilise support from Zambia’s cooperating partners to conduct the registration exercise.

He says the ECZ must be seen to be making efforts towards ensuring it conducts credible elections in 2021 to avoid the disputes that have arisen in the past elections.
