Govt committed to distribute safe and clean drinking water

Government says it is committed to upscale the distribution of safe and clean drinking water until cholera is completely eradicated.

Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection Minister Lloyd Kaziya tells q news that his ministry has so far distributed 10,000 water tanks to supply the most affected areas.

He says good political will through the leadership of President Edgar Lungu has contributed towards the drop in the number of cholera cases.

Mr. Kaziya has since  has vowed to continue working with line ministries, in the provision of clean and safe drinking water in cholera affected areas until the epidemic is completely eradicated .
