Govt urged to revisit the agriculture policies- Chanda

United Peaceful and Prosperous Zambia (UPPZ) President Charles Chanda says there is need for the government to revisit its agriculture policies because they are failing the people of Zambia.

Mr. Chanda says it is sad that despite the government being aware that most of these policies are not helping grow the agriculture sector; it’s doing nothing to revisit them.

He has advised that in order not to threaten the national food security, the PF administration should consider revisiting the agriculture policies.

He says agriculture remains the key sector to economic diversification.

Mr. Chanda is also encouraging the government to explore the irrigation sub-sector given the challenges that have come with climate change.
