Kalingalinga man admitted to UTH after consuming six bottles of ARVS

A 50 year old man of Kalingalinga compound has been admitted to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) after consuming six bottles of ARVS and two bottles of illicit beer commonly known as tujilijili in an attempt to commit suicide.

UTH Public Relations Officer Natalie Mashikolo who could not reveal the name of the victim says it is believed that he attempted to take his life after his wife reminded him about the school fees for their two children who have made it to grades 8 and 10.

Ms Mashikolo has told QTV News that the man was taken to UTH after being attended to at Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital at around 23 hours.

She says the man is in good condition and is undergoing counseling.
