OYV backs calls to withdraw military personnel from streets

Operation Young Vote (OYV) Executive Director Guess Nyirenda has added his voice to calls to have the military personnel withdrawn from the streets and compounds in Lusaka.

Mr. Nyirenda says the continued presence of men and women in uniform in the Central Business District (CBD) and some compounds is raising concern among citizens.

He says now that Cholera has been contained, it would be prudent to withdraw the soldiers from the streets and compounds.

Mr Nyirenda states that this will also save the innocent citizens from harassment being perpetrated by the men and women in uniform.
