Zimba accuses President Lungu of betraying Zambians

Political Scientist Zumani Zimba has charged that President Edgar Lungu has succeeded in skillfully fooling Zambians and politically betraying the masses on the crucial tenet of democracy and good governance called corruption.

Mr. Zimba says President Lungu’s continued smile at corruption is against a background where poverty levels in the country remain unacceptably high, with more than 54.4% of Zambians living below the poverty line.

He says he agrees with former Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Chishimba Kambwili’s assertion that what the PF achieved corruption in 2017.

Mr. Zimba says this is because the President has shown no political will to fight corruption.
