Banda backs calls to remove of military personnel from CDB

People’s Alliance for Change (PAC) president Andyford Banda has called for the immediate removal of military personnel from the central business district deployed to clean up the area following the outbreak of cholera.

Mr. Banda says he’s disgusted by the ill treatment of citizens by the soldiers who have been deployed in town.

He says it is regrettable that the military personnel were even deployed in the first place.

Mr Banda tells Q-News that their presence in town is incapacitating the Zambia police and the council police who are mandated to conduct such duties.
