Police warn vandals of newly installed water facilities

The Zambia Police Service has warned people vandalizing water tanks installed in communities by government to supply clean water in the wake of the outbreak of cholera of stern action.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo says they have started receiving reports of vandalism of the water facilities.

Ms Katongo says the Police Command has since instructed all Police Officers to extend their patrols to areas where such essential properties have been installed , adding that anyone found wanting will not be spared, but will be dealt with severely.

She has since appealed to members of the public who may have information about people behind this criminal act to report to the police without delay.
