YALI urges Lungu to deal with Inter City ‘thugs’

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) says Lusaka Inter City Bus Station is another area President Edgar Lungu as Commander in Chief must decisively deal with by ordering Defence Forces to take over and hand it to the Lusaka City Council.

The organization says most importantly, President Lungu and PF Senior Leaders in Lusaka Province must order dissolution of what is called PF branch at Inter City.

YALI governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza says those ruthless Inter City boys were among the reasons why MMD lost the support of Lusaka and instead supported the ‘weak’ PF that had promised to deal with thuggerism.

Mr. Mwanza says those thugs at Inter City Bus Station should not be allowed to contribute in making the PF unpopular because of their ruthless acts.

The YALI Governance Advisor is appealing to President Edgar Lungu to order the removal of all those call boys at Intercity and allow the Council to manage the travelling public and commuters.

He says the Nation cannot manage to continue watching this new form of terrorism being bred from Inter City and the reports on acts of those “boys” should be a source of concern to the President.
