The matter in which Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili is charged with three counts of forgery, uttering false documents and presenting false documents to a public officer has failed to take off in the Lusaka Magistrate court.

Mr. Kambwili was this morning expected to appear before Magistrate David Simusamba to take plea on the three counts.

Mr. Kambwili’s lawyers led by Christopher Mundia told magistrate Simusamba that their client was unable to appear before the court because his doctors have given him a bed rest following an illness.

They asked the court to adjourn the matter to 29th January, 2018 considering the fact that his sureties and medical report indicating his condition are already before the court.

Magistrate Simusamba has since adjourned the matter to Monday, January 29 for plea and commencement of trial.
