The Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) has partnered with government to find a wholesale area where farmers can sale their produce, amid fears of spreading cholera.

Union President Jervis Zimba notes that fruits and vegetables which were being delivered to Soweto market were contaminated.

He says farmers have complained that since government moved traders from the market, their businesses have gone down.

Mr. Zimba says once the wholesale trading area is discovered, farmers will be allowed to sale their farm produce

He however urges farmers to exercise patience as government and the union is working around the clock to find a conducive environment for them to trade in.
