National legal aid clinic for women receives 1, 247 legal cases for women

The national legal aid clinic for women says it has received 1, 247 legal cases for women and children in the year 2017.

The organization provides legal assistance to women and children who cannot afford legal representation in the courts of law.

And the organizations deputy executive director Mary Mutupa says among cases received and those which were recorded last year, the clinic has started and represented women and children in over 319 cases.

She says the clinic has thus far recorded   a success rate of judgments in favor of its clients; a development she says should be commendable.

Ms. Mutupa maintains that the clinic will endeavor to continue protecting rights of women and children against bad vices.
