The Central Statistical Office (CSO) has refuted social media reports suggesting that it has issued employment opportunity adverts for the livestock census.
CSO Director John Kalumbi told journalists that the central statistics office has not issued any job search advert for the livestock census.
Mr. Kalumbi has however clarified that the CSO through the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries is conducting the 2017 Livestock and Aquaculture Census.
He says the purpose of the livestock census is to provide a benchmark upon which future surveys in the livestock sub sector will be based.
Mr. Kalumbi says this will also form a basis for planning and policy formulation, as well as policy implementation.
