PNU says it would take 3 to 4 years for Zambia’s agriculture sector to recover

The party of national unity (PNU) says it will take approximately 3 to 4 years for Zambia’s agriculture sector to recover from the shocks that the PF Administration has caused on the sector.

Party Secretary General Kasote Singogo tells Q news that government has thus far mishandled the entire agriculture sector.

He says this is due to the incompetence in the sector exhibited by the agriculture minister Dora Siliya.

Mr. Kasote says the minister does not have sufficient knowledge on the management of the sector, adding that it is the reason why it keeps crippling.

He says with all matters surrounding the implementation of the E-voucher and the maize prices set by the foot reserve agency (FRA) this year, it will take approximately 3 to 4 years for the agriculture sector to fully recover.
