Kaombe Ward Councilor in Mwense District of Luapula Province Geoffrey Lukwesa has appealed to government to enhance economic participation of people in the area by according them with decent trading shelters.
Mr. Lukwesa complains that it is devastating that people would be trading in thatched shelters.
He says people in his ward have the capacity to engage in lucrative businesses to sustain their lives decently if accorded with the necessary support.
Mr. Lukwesa explains that business has now come to a standstill in his ward because of the rains, meaning people will now suffer.
He adds that people in his ward would also want to live the lives those in urban areas are living, than it is now.
